Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Peterborough .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

    It was a very informal and informative session with Mark. I'm not as advanced in my photography skills as the rest and have a camera with some limitations but Mark was very helpful with both of this limitations.

    Mark is very knowledgeable and professional, he's also very easy going and has a great style and explains things clearly. The day was dry and coo but quite windy which gave some interesting challenges, I would definitely do another session with Mark

    The weather was cloudy so we didn?t get to see any stars which was a real shame, however Mark was engaging, informative and gave the group lots of advice and helpful tips. As a beginner I did struggle a bit as the rest of the group were more experienced but Mark was very helpful.

    It was really good that it was a small group and that whilst we spent some time talking through the principles and being shown some good examples, much of the session was actually trying it in practice with on-hand advice to discuss photo options and approaches, and provide valuable advice on even on past photos as to how one could have improved it, which was very helpful

    Mark Parker
    Everyone calls Mark, Happy Bob (misspent youth!) and he's a 20-year plus multi award-winning photographer and videographer, based in Peterborough, UK 2013 although he travels all over the county and to destinations if needed.

    He tends to do a lot of wedding photography and editorial, but I also does other work such as corporate, events dog and horse photography and families. He loves street photography too, but he rarely gets a chance to indulge his passion.

    I'm not normally a wildlife photographer - mostly focussing on landscape, cycling and abstract stuff.While walking my dog a couple of weeks ago I came across a large silk nest with caterpillars just starting to emerge and grabbed a few shots with my phone camera. Went back a few days later with a 'proper' camera (my OM SYSTEM TG-7 - only a little compact but has a great set of macro modes). By that point the nest was just a writhing mass of caterpillars all huddled together. I wanted to show

    As a professional photographer I rarely get to do black-and-white for clients as it all tends to be colour work, so when I get the chance I love to do black-and-white. Black-and-white is much more timeless I find. I?m also a very strong fan of high contrast, so I love to really crush the blacks so the whites and highlights stand out so much more. It also makes it more interesting I think when doing macro shots

    Title or Location: This Still Life Photograph of "Grapes, Strawberry's and Wine" was taken in my bedroom in Orange County California.
    This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
